Pili Country Site

This charming and spacious stonehouse is located by a small river in the middle of a forest, close to a country road. The Villa is made of stone, wood on the roof and a-century-old railways over each door and windows, showing respect to the local architecture.

The mentality of the house is winter, but its heart belongs to the Aegean exotic waters, the sun and the sandy beaches of Evia Island. Don´t let the mountains and the deep forest make you forget that you re still on an island! From April until late September, the crystal clear waters of the nearby beaches (15 minutes away) and the golden sun, offer everything an island has to offer. Local seafood, swimming while the sun sets, cocktails on the sand and peaceful sleeps under the sounds of crickets and the small creek that flows 50m from the Villa.

An amazing place for you and your friends, family or couple to stay. You can spend some days in tranquillity and read your books or listen to the sounds of nature but you can also use the house as a basis for hiking, descending to inaccessible exotic beaches and of course live a life experience of the local Mediterranean gastronomy.

Pili Country Site

Evia Island, the place where Mountains meet the Aegean Sea

Its geographic orientation is from northwest to southeast, and it is traversed throughout its length by a mountain range, which forms part of the chain that bounds Thessaly on the east, and is continued south of Euboea in the lofty islands of AndrosTinos and Mykonos.

The history of the island of Evia is largely that of its two principal cities, Chalcis and Eretria, both mentioned in the Catalogue of Ships. Both cities were settled by Ionian Greeks from Attica, and would eventually settle numerous colonies in Magna Graecia and Sicily, such as Cumae and Rhegium, and on the coast of Macedonia. This opened new trade routes to the Greeks, and extended the reach of western civilization. The commercial influence of these city-states is evident in the fact that the Euboic scale of weights and measures was used among the Ionic cities generally, and in Athens until the end of the 7th century BC, during the time of Solon. The classicist Barry B. Powell has proposed that Evia may have been where the Greek alphabet was first employed, c. 775-750 BC, and that Homer may have spent part of his life on the island.

Nowadays, Evia is a vibrant island, safeguarding its tradition and local way of life while at the same time is constantly developing in many levels, depicting the ancient spirit of the locals to discover new paths and create a culture of Mediterranean gastronomy, hospitality and nature. In the area where the Villa is located, you can find some of the most iconic and idyllic beaches of the Aegean Sea. The green forests are blending with the seacoast and they create exotic blue-green piscine-style waters, that you can experience only there.
